She perceives that her merchant is good, and her l She perceives that her merchant is good, and her lamp does not go out by night. Proverbs 31:18

I love how this is a true homemaking verse. Because what this verse says is:
1. You make sure that everything that comes into the home is good. So you are a gatekeeper of the home. Know what is coming in through your food, products and technology(!!)
2. Her lamp does not go out by night means that she works hard. A virtuous woman is not a lazy woman. She makes sure her house and family are well taken care of. Even if that means staying up all night.

Do you make sure you know what comes into your home? I actually made a video about being the gatekeeper a month ago. I will link it in my bio. It's a good one 😉
Spending time with the kids is so important! And Spending time with the kids is so important!

And one thing I have learned is; they love undivided attention just as much as we do😉

So put that phone down and talk to them
Listen to what they tell you
Ask them questions about their day
Talk about their favorite books

Be there for them, not just physically, but mentally too! Especially in this time where technology is so demanding, don’t forget who need you MOST🧡
God is the only one who can give you True Rest! S God is the only one who can give you True Rest!

So no matter how much you have to do.
No matter how long that to do list.

Pick up your Bible.
Turn on worship music.
Read His Truth.
Be with Him.
Meditate on it all day
&
let Him give you rest.

She girds herself with strength, she strengthens h She girds herself with strength, she strengthens her arms. Proverbs 31:17

In order to fully understand this verse, we need to look at the word 'Gird'.

To gird= encircle or prepare oneself for something difficult or challenging.

So what this verse is actually saying is that a virtuous woman prepares herself with strengths for difficult or challenging things to come.

This is true for both the physical as well as the emotional side. How do you prepare emotionally? God's Word! Dive into His word, read and meditate on it day and night and put on the Armor of God.

Oh and it also means I should exercise more 😆
