One of our favourite things to do is read quality books with the children. It helps them to stay away from all the screens, helps them in their education and it’s a great excuse to cuddle up on the couch together with a cup of tea and teach them the beauty of books.
So let me share some of our family’s favorite read alouds!
Our favorite time to read books is during our Morning Basket or in the afternoon just cuddled up on the couch.
Favorite books Ages 3-8
So here are our favorite books for kids 3-8 years old. Our children are in this age group, so we don’t have any experience with older kids, but I will continue to add to this post whenever we find new favorite read alouds. So keep checking to see our ever changing list of books. Because you can never read enough books!
Christian books
- Jesus story book Bible
- You are special – Max Lucado
- The Beary Patch bears (9 books on the fruits of the Spirit) Not extremely easy to find, but we got them from different shops (like thrift books) and were able to get all 9! They are definitely worth it!
- ’Tales that tell the truth’ books
Non-Christian
